Hi, I’m ameen.

My first and biggest lesson in what really matters to people came as a medical student, when the roles were unexpectedly reversed and I was hospitalised for three weeks.

From that time on, I endeavor to maintain humility and curiosity towards clients, their experiences, and their needs.

After completing training in General Practice, a gained several years of experience in trauma work through supporting clients at the NGO Freedom from Torture.

I pursued my interest in mental health care by undertaking clinical training in Psychotherapy at 96 Harley Street, followed by additional training in EMDR and CBT-I.

I am currently a guest observer at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine, where I’m learning more about combining conventional treatments with complementary approaches.

My Approach

Sites of Shaping & Change

I see the role of the therapist as being to act as a mirror, reflecting back a non-judgemental, undistorted image of the client that conveys them in full light. We live in an individualistic society that has a tendancy to situate all our problems and their solutions within ourselves. I prefer the Sites of Shaping & Change approach to help understand the many interconnected experiences and forces that affect us; we are shaped by them and, together, we have the power to shape them.
